Phase 2 – About the Procedure: Transform your life
The procedure is a simple process that takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. The small, deflated Intragastric Balloon will be inserted into your stomach while you remain sedated. By the time you wake up, the Intragastric Balloon would have been inflated and ready in your stomach.
As your stomach gets used to the balloon, you may experience nausea and vomiting, bloating, diarrhoea and cramping. This is perfectly normal and should be expected. Medications may be prescribed to help you overcome these discomforts.
It is critical that you drink plenty of water and avoid eating solid foods during this period. Once your body gets adjusted to it, you may then graduate to semi-solid and then solid foods. During this period, your physician will be guiding you with calorie restrictions to your diet.
Depending on individual, the initial weight loss could range from 2 to 3 kilos, to 10 to 15 kilos.
